 HOW HE WORKS

[I’m going to give you a little scenario to think about]

You buy yourself a car and you think it is exactly the one you’ve wanted all your life. It’s absolutely beautiful and it not only pleases you but you would like everyone else to have one too. So you call your family and friends and invite them over to see your new car that has just been delivered. You listen to all the “how greats…just wonderful…so happy for you and so on”. Then one of them speaks up and asks “HOW DOES IT RUN?”

You say you really don’t know because you just received it and you haven’t had a chance to try it out yet.

You get into your new car and turn on the switch and nothing happens! You turn on your lights …but…no lights, you honk your horn…it won’t work, your wipers won’t work…nothing works…everything is dead!

You really don’t know what the problem is and MOST of your family and friends walk away and go home thinking…it sure was pretty but what good is it if nothing works! THIS IS WHAT SINNERS DO WHEN THE CHRISTIAN TELLS WHAT HE HAS BUT SHOWS NO POWER.

Some may stick around to see if they can help you find out what’s wrong and as you begin to check it over you find it has no battery. THE POWER SOURCE IS NOT THERE.

This is the difference between SALVATION (which is great, and wonderful) and the infilling of the Holy Spirit. Without Him your battery is gone and you have no POWER SOURCE!

You can go back to the dealership and ask for a battery and they will give you one. You can also go back to God and ask Him for HIS POWER SOURCE …THE HOLY SPIRIT… and He will give you the infilling (baptism) if you are serious about it. The Holy Spirit is not something you can play around with. To be effective in the work of God you must have the help of the Holy Spirit.

For you, who do not believe in the baptism or who do not believe that it is for us today, ask yourself these questions.

    IS YOUR PRAYER LIFE EFFECTIVE

    ARE YOUR PRAYERS BEING ANSWERED

    ARE YOU SEEING MIRACLES HAPPEN

    ARE YOU SEEING PEOPLE BEING HEALED

    ARE YOUR TALKS TO SINNERS BEARING FRUIT

    HOW MANY HAVE YOU LED TO CHRIST

If nothing is happening, maybe you need the POWER SOURCE. 

Do you hunger for the deep things of God?

I received salvation and yet I wanted more…I received the baptism in the Holy Spirit, with the Evidence of Speaking in Tongues and I still hungered for more. The Holy Spirit gave me gifts to further the work of God and now I am a Minister but I still hunger for more. We, as Christians, should never be satisfied but always seek for more!

LET ME ASK YOU ONE MORE THING…. 

What if…just what if…there is something more than what you have? Would you be willing to find out? Would you be willing to ask? Or would you just stay where you are and go to church on Sunday and visit with everybody and be satisfied with what you have and never experience the POWER of God that comes in the PERSON OF THE HOLY SPIRIT? 

All you have to do is ask. The baptism is a gift. It will cost you nothing except your pride and your doubt but the benefits far outweigh both of them! 

I pray, with all of my heart, that I have made the HOLY SPIRIT a PERSON you want not only with you but also inside you as a HELPER, TEACHER, and a GIVER OF GIFTS.

I pray above all that I have introduced Him to you as a FRIEND.
