 INFILLING IS A GIFT

The infilling (baptism) (tongues) is a gift and all you have to do is ask for it. To speak in other tongues is simply the EVIDENCE that you have the infilling and that is where you get POWER WITH GOD!

[Acts 1:8]…But you shall receive POWER …after…that the Holy Ghost is come upon you and you shall be witnesses unto Me and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

When you gain this POWER that comes with the infilling of the Holy Spirit (He in you), then He will give you gifts of His Spirit that He thinks you can handle. These are the nine gifts spoken of in the 12th chapter of 1st Corinthians. They are as much for us today as they were for the disciples then as we are ALL disciples of Jesus Christ.

[I will not get into the gifts right now but will do a study on them at a later time]

Right now we are doing a study on the HOLY SPIRIT and I will not digress.

It is so difficult to try and end a lesson on the Holy Spirit because there is so much about Him in the Bible and so much to tell about Him.

He is mentioned in Genesis as El-o-him. This name is plural or means more than one.

He is part of the 3 facets or aspects of God.

He is 1/3 of the Trinity…Father…Son…Holy Spirit

He is the 3rd part of God’s character

If you leave Him out then you make God out to be 2/3s of what He really is and only able to do 2/3s of what we ask Him to do. THAT IS NOT THE CHARACTER OF THE GOD I SERVE!

He is also mentioned in Revelation. He is very important as Jesus says, LISTEN TO WHAT THE SPIRIT SAYS TO THE CHURCHES and again in Revelation 22:17…the BRIDE and the SPIRIT say come.
