AFTER YOUR CONVERSION:

BUT THERE ARE SO MANY BENEFITS THAT FOLLOW YOUR SALVATION!

You probably won’t hear this from many Ministers but I think you need to know where you stand with Jesus when you accept Him as Lord and Savior.  At the very moment we are converted we become JUSTIFIED.

JUSTIFIED IS: An act of God whereby man is made or accounted JUST, or freed, from the penalty and guilt of sin.  He is absolved or acquitted of any former sin.  A good way to remember this? JUSTIFIED…JUST-AS-IF-I’D-NEVER-SINNED. This is the result of a REPENTANT HEART.

I want to say right here that SALVATION is not what the MIND thinks or what the EARS HEAR or what the EYES SEE. IT IS WHAT THE HEART FEELS!  A TRUE CONVERSION (rebirth) is ALWAYS a HEART FELT ONE.

After JUSTIFIED comes BAPTIZED

BAPTIZED:  This is in two forms…WATER and THE HOLY SPIRIT  (As I already have a lesson on the HOLY SPIRIT, we will deal with WATER BAPTISM.)

WATER BAPTISM is a type of the death and resurrection of Jesus.  As you go under the water you are buried with Him and as you come up out of the water you are being raised into a new life with Him.  You are in effect saying, now I belong to Jesus.  (Mark 16:16)  He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved.  (Matthew 3)  John the Baptist (Jesus cousin) was baptizing people for the remission of their sins.  This is no longer possible as water does not cleanse us from sin and only the SHED BLOOD OF JESUS can do that, but Jesus had not yet shed His blood (or) been sacrificed for the sons of man-kind at that time.  The people would come to John, he would tell them to repent, then baptize them in water AS A SIGN their sins were washed away.

Then comes Jesus, A MAN WHO KNEW NO SIN and was baptized by John also in water.  Read (Romans 6:3/7)…Now we can see that it means more than just the washing away of sins.  After a three-year ministry Jesus was crucified and after three days in the tomb He was resurrected from the dead.  There is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that can TAKE AWAY SIN except the SHED BLOOD OF JESUS CHRIST.  Until you repent of your sins and receive the BLOOD COVERING of a SACRIFICED SAVIOR for their remission, you can get baptized in water as often as you like but you will accomplish nothing except to get cleaner or waterlogged.

After JUSTIFIED and BAPTIZED comes SANCTIFIED.

SANCTIFIED IS:  To MAKE HOLY…to set apart as SACRED…to CONSECRATE…means to make or declare SACRED and SET APART and DEDICATED to the SERVICE and WORSHIP of God.

These are the most important benefits of becoming part of the family of God through SALVATION:

JUSTIFIED…BAPTIZED…SANCTIFIED

Next is SATISFIED…ARE YOU?
