III.  IMPRISONED DEMONS

[2^ND Peter 2:4]   [Jude 6]

Both Jude and Peter tell us that the angels who followed satan at the fall are kept in
chains, in prison until the Day of Judgment.  This may sound like a contradiction in the
Word since we know that in Jesus day there was demon possession. We know also that
possession happens in this day and age.

This JUDGEMENT DAY is the Seven Year Tribulation when God pours out His wrath
on men and the earth. 

The reasons the demons are imprisoned are because they are the worst of the worst. They
have a SET time to be loosed and a SET job to do.   [Revelation 9:13/15]

This means that God will only allow them so much mobility and no more.

[Remember that when Adam and Eve sinned they gave (or leased) the earth to satan.]

If you had your property leased, you would have an agreement of what the renters could do
and could not do.  The same thing holds true for the earth!  God owns it but satan holds the
lease.  God will not trespass and satan can’t unless God allows it! 

[Think of a man in prison. He may be shackled but he can still move around the prison
or its grounds but he is still hedged about with a fence and has Guards to see he does not escape]

That’s the way it is with these demons ….BUT…The devil and all his demons will be turned
loose for the last 3 ½ years of the GREAT TRIBULATION.  [Rev. 12:4,7/12]  When they have
all done the jobs they were sent to do (including satan) all of them will be imprisoned for 1000
years at the Second Coming of Christ and during the Millennium. [Rev. 20:1/3] 

[Revelation 20:7,8]

After the 1000 years, they will all be loosed again for a little while.
(The Bible does not say for how long) 

Ultimately, they will all be cast into the Lake of Fire.
[Isaiah 14:16/20]  [Rev. 20:8/10] 

Hell was never meant for us but was prepared for the devil and his demons.  Heaven or
Hell has always been our own Choice!
