[Hebrews 13:5,6]
Daniel 3: 23/25]
Remember the Hebrew children? God never left them,
Starting at the 12th verse thro’ 25 this is the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego, the three Hebrew children.
They would not bow down before any god except their God. For this infraction they were to be thrown into a fiery furnace.
The king ordered the furnace to be heated seven times hotter than it had ever been before and proceeded to throw the Hebrew children into it.
The outcome of the story is this:
When the king looked into the furnace he saw Four men instead of the Three men he had thrown into the furnace and said that the form of the Fourth man was like the Son of God.
He was JEHOVAH SHAMONAH…Always Present
SHAMONAH….Taken from…[Ezekiel 39:16]
Meaning…[Ezekiel 48:35]
God is always present with us no matter what we are going through.
Sometimes it may seem that He is far away but He always has His reasons for the things He does. We need to trust Him more, especially in these last days.
The Word says that His thoughts are higher than ours and His ways past finding out.
So when it doesn’t feel like He is there just remember He is working things out for our good!
If we will only obey what He says to do then our blessings will come .
How do we know what He wants us to do?
WE GET INTO THE WORD AND FIND OUT!
Taking the risk of being boring, you will find that I repeat this phrase very often in these lessons for the simple reason, NO-ONE IS GOING TO DO ALL THE WORK FOR YOU!!!
GOD IS ALWAYS PRESENT WITH US
[John 17: 20/22]
He was present with Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane
(incidentally- This chapter is the real Lords Prayer)
The prayer in the 11th chapter of Luke is not the Lords Prayer but it is the disciples prayer. They were asking Him how they should pray and He was showing them.
[John 4:23&24]
God is present in Jesus and Jesus is present in us through the infilling of the Holy Spirit.
Therefore He is always present….Omni-Present.
[John 14:17&18]
As satan can possess us through an evil spirit, God will possess us through the Holy Spirit !
[Matthew 21:9/18]
LITERALLY….Jesus came to clean the temple of everything that was sinful.
[1st Corinthians 3: 16,17]
SPIRITUALLY….Our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.
As the offspring or Son of God, Jesus fulfilled all of he 7 names!
[2nd Corinthians 4:4]
Jesus is the expressed (or shown) image (or likeness) of the Father. [John 1:14/18] [John 14:6&7 and 9/11]
[Luke 15:10/22]
This is the story of the Prodigal Son or the Wasteful Son and is a very good picture of what God is like when it comes to His children.
The Prodigal Son repented of all he had done and his father forgave him but the Older Son (older Christian) has THE SPIRIT OF RELIGION. He begins to find and list all of the faults of anyone trying to do right. There is no forgiveness in him, no mercy and no compassion for the person that slips and falls. They forget what the Blood really covers.
Is He always Present? Let’s check out a few scriptures.
[Matthew 18:20]
For where two or three are gathered together in MY NAME, there am I in the midst of them.
[Proverbs 15:3]
The eyes of the Lord are in every place watching the evil and the good.
[Psalms 34:15]
The eyes of the Lord are upon the Righteous and His ears are open to their cry.
[Job 34:21]
For His eyes are upon the ways of man and He sees all his goings.
[Job 36:7]
He withdraws not His eyes from the righteous, but with kings are they on the throne and He will establish them forever and exalt them.
[John 5:19,20]
The Son sees and does what the Father does.
(verse 22)
We see and do what the Son tells us to.
These things that Jesus came to do, WE ARE TO FINISH!
Jesus’ ministry only lasted three and a half years. But in those years He showed us what he expected of us. He expected us to carry on His ministry and His works. He knew that He would not come back to earth to set up His Kingdom for a long time so He raised up a people that would carry on in His absence. Those people are you and I.
If we are willing to do this, we will have crowns to lay at His feet when He comes for us !
There are some very specific things that we are to do and it is called The Great Commission.
